Installations

I have created a number of installations using paper flowers made from copies of letters – some written during World War II, and others more recently.

Using copies of the World War II love letters, I made hundreds of paper poppies which show hints of the messages in the original letters. I chose the poppy – a fragile, delicate flower – because it is reminiscent of the symbol of remembrance. Each flower has stamens at the centre, made from gold paper.

The Last Post’ is an installation created using paper daisies – the national flower of Denmark. I made the work to mark the end of the Danish Postal Service – PostNord stopped delivering letters at the end of December 2025 and removed all the post boxes.

The daisies are made using copies of some of the last letters from Denmark, and the centres of the flowers are made from Danish stamps.
